ABOUT THE CLUB

The Raymond Terrace Four Wheel Drive Club inc. was founded in 1985 to foster and promote four wheel driving. The aim of the club is to make four wheel driving enjoyable for any person with any type of 4wd.

The club caters for all levels of experience. If  your new to this activity, you will have the opportunity to learn the skills of driving off road with the security of travelling in a group, while the more experienced drivers will have the opportunity to test their skills and share their knowledge with other club members.

Every year our trip calendar is packed full of things to do and places to go, offering something for the whole family, whether you enjoy 4wding, camping, learning about our history, photography, 4wd comps or just getting away, the Raymond Terrace 4wd Club offers these activities. The ideals of the club are to promote environmental awareness within the community to maintain access to some beautiful, scenic areas.

We also have bush and beach awareness days where members are shown basic to advanced skills and techniques that will add to the safety and enjoyment of four wheel driving.

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK

Text Box: We met at Kurri pool carpark at 10.00am, we proceeded to the bush at Abermain. Lock all in wheels, Came across a little water crossing where I did the Bead in my tyre 5 minutes into the track, but only went flat on the bottom. So had to race home and get the spare tyre due to me not being prepared and having a spare!! Lesson Learnt!!!
Ended up going along power line track to a little rutted area where most of us attempted to drive I, Benny and Mitch had to get pulled through it just not enough height for them to do it on there
Own
Went up the track further and came upon some wombat holes where a few of us drove them for a little play. ( Leigh, Scotty, Benny & Mitch) Benny & Mitch got guided through it as a team effort. Proceeded up the track and came across a medium grade rut which we all had to do. Benny lifting wheels again. Scotty drove the harder line with Cameron being his nav. Well done Cameron you done a perfect job mate!!!
Then went to the Quarry were we had a little play & Lunch. Benny & Mitch had a go at the step in the Quarry and conquered it Yeehaa........ Then made our way out at a different point of the bush. Finished at about 3.30pm said our goodbyes and headed home. Thanks for an awesome day everybody!!!

 Blacksmiths Beach clean up day
To start off everyone met at blacksmiths beach surf club. Once everyone arrived we signed a form and went into blacksmiths surf club. We got our bags, gloves and rubbish Claws . Then Benny told us what to do if we find explosives, needles ect. Then we went down to third creek. First we collected a motor then just bits and pieces of glass, plastic and broken beer bottles. then we found a mattress with grass growing in it eeewwwww. Us kids dug up this metal object, we dug more and more and more soon we got Scott to get a snatch strap and pull the object out of the ground. OMG you will never guess what it was? It was a chassis who could guess... We had Scott O'Meley towing the chassis then Dane Cooper towing Scotty and the chassis then Brad Fairfull towing Dane, Scott and the chassis , we made it out to the skip bin then we went back on the beach. got a photo and went back to the surf club to have lunch. We got some things like a frisbee, key ring and zinc, well I wanted everyone to know I was from Raymond Terrace 4 wheel drive club so I put RT4WDC on my arm with my zinc. We all finished lunch and some people went back on the beach and some went home and that was our day. Well done to all those from the club that came to support this event!!
